I recently had the pleasure (and the mild panic attack) of joining Adi Itach on her podcast, Gluten-Free Marketing - a show that strips marketing down to its real, human ingredients. No buzzwords, no fluff, just honest conversations about what it actually means to create and connect.
In Episode 20, Adi and I talked about what it’s really like to run a one-person creative studio - the highs, the lows, the boredom, and the beauty of working for yourself.
We covered everything from defining what “marketing” even means in 2025, to staying creative without burning out, to why I left the safety of full-time work to build something that feels more… mine.
Full disclosure: I was nervous as hell for the first 40 minutes. Adi handled it like a pro - patient, sharp, and genuinely curious - even when my answers were mostly “yes” and “no.”

By the second half, I loosened up, and the talk turned into a non-linear trip through my creative universe: why I chose this profession, what drives me to keep learning, and how boredom (yes, boredom) is actually part of the process.
Two Bits From the Podcast Worth Repeating:
Freelancing is like running a marathon.
At first, it’s easy. Then it’s hard. Then it’s unbearable. Then suddenly it’s simple again - you see a nice view, you want to quit, you get a second wind, you maybe need to poop, and somehow you keep going.
It’s messy, unpredictable, and somehow worth it.

Drop your shoulders. Breathe. Keep going.
When I was asked what advice I’d give my younger self before going freelance, that was my answer. Because it’s not about having the perfect plan - it’s about remembering you have a body while your brain tries to make rent.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to build your own path as a creative - or just want to hear two people geeking out about strategy, storytelling, and self-taught growth - this one’s worth a listen.
